Compost project
The last summer two of us went in a gk community in Camarines Sur in a village next to Sabang. During two months we had time to observe the different community needs. Today we have the idea to set up a compost. Each GK community has a vegetable garden to allow residents some food self-sufficiency. But in Talisay this area dedicated to agriculture has been completely abandoned. Indeed, the sand that covers the ground represents an obstacle for growing vegetables and fruits.Upon reflection, we considered setting up a compost, compost is a natural fertilizer that would improve agricultural production.

In this perspective, the compost bins are made of wood and placed at different locations in the village. People would then deposit all their biodegradable waste (fruit and vegetable peelings, cores, seeds..). Once the compost as a soil (after several months of maceration), people would deposit the feet of cultures. Compost is a habit to take and for the village population adopts it seems necessary to explain to them the benefits of compost on their culture. As activists for the respect of the environment, this project is very important for us and we hope we can realized it.

Location of our two villages
Gutters project
The other gk village, next to Buhi, in Camarines Sur count ten house and ten families. But only one has a gutter. It's a problem because in the Philippines there is a rainy season with monsoon. So, regulary, there are floods and, in the village, some house can be affect by water. Gutters may constituated the solution to this problem, because the gutters will evacuate the water inside the ground. Our aim is to finance nine gutters for the Fulger village, to help in the installation and to sensibilise people to this important thing. In second time we would like to collect the rain water, thanks to the gutters. This recolted water will be used in the watering of the ground, the field, the plantations. She'd permit to economise tap water and to economise money.
